Participants and local FES partners from Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco took part in the "8th European ICLEI Congress" on sustainable cities in Bilbao. The conference presented a great network-opportunity for the only registered delegation with representatives from Arab countries with European colleagues. The positive transformative role of cities towards more socially just and sustainable cities was discussed. At the sideline of the conference participants from the MENA region met with former social-democratic MP Lale Akgüne.
