Trade unions mission - Agadez

A delegation of 13 unionists from all three regions of the RSMMS were joined by a representative of ITUC Africa and a representative of the OTAO to undertake a mission to the city ​​of Agadez, Niger, which is considered as the largest transit hub for migrants towards the so-called roads of death.

A delegation of 13 unionists from all three regions of the RSMMS were joined by a representative of ITUC Africa and a representative of the OTAO to undertake a mission to the city ​​of Agadez, Niger, which is considered as the largest transit hub for migrants towards the so-called roads of death.

In order to assess the state of migration, the mission entailed a visit of the IOM Reception Center, meetings with local authorities, regional structures and various actors in the field as well as interviews with migrants and the Nigerien trade union USTN.
